Free Store Tour!
Enjoy Good Foods store tour during Sampling Saturdays on the first Saturday of the month at 11 am. Tour the store with staff Dietitian Beth Loiselle, savor samples, and enjoy exclusive offers while learning about our products and services. Free. Sign up at the Customer Service desk.

Better Eating for Life: Fabulous Fruit

Eating more fruit is one of the easiest steps to take for most people. Besides discovering ways to incorporate fruit into your menus, you’ll learn how to turn simple fresh and frozen fruit into delectable fruit desserts, one of which you will sample! Also discover fruit-derived supplements that might benefit you and your family. As an added not-fruit-related-bonus, particularly of interest for those with young children or with allergies/multiple-chemical sensitivity, learn about the benefits of more natural cleaning products and body care products. Handouts will include recipes plus more!

Beginning Crochet

Learn chain stitch, single crochet, and how to choose yarn, needles, and supplies. We will be making a scarf with single crochet and two skeins of yarn. Class is for beginning students and students who need a refresher on how to get started. Printouts will be provided. Bring size Q, R, or S crochet hook and 2 different colors of 7 oz skeins of worsted wool or acrylic crochet yarn.

March Madness Beer and Cheese Pairings

St. Patrick’s Day Buffet

Good Foods Market & Café will host a St. Patrick’s Day buffet on Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17. Come explore the tastes of Ireland as Good Foods Café will feature a special Irish menu created by Chef Alex Jenkins.

Better Eating for Life: Fit in Fun Foods

Healthy eating doesn’t always mean never eating desserts. Learn about various alternatives to common white sugar and high-fructose corn syrup, and how for some people, they can be used to fulfill their fun food “requirement” without sacrificing health. Learn info about insulin resistance, diabetes, pre-diabetes and low blood sugar, plus pointers on helping prevent or controlling them. Take home a variety of recipes using alternative sweeteners.

Good Foods Co-op is a locally owned and operated cooperative business where everyone is welcome to shop at either of our locations – Good Foods Market & Café on Southland Drive or Good Foods Chapter 2 inside the downtown Lexington Public Library. Good Foods has served the Lexington community since 1972.
