Slow Food Bluegrass members … You Can Help Kentucky Recycle Waste Cooking Oil into Biodiesel … the non-toxic, high performance, local alternative.

Ask for your FREE 1-gallon recycling bin (waste cooking oil from your kitchen) courtesy of a partnership between the Louisville/Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD) + Councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh’s Green Triangle & The Louisville Biodiesel Cooperative.

Why you ask? Two good reasons:

1. Help local farmers get low cost, high performance, non-toxic, non-carcinogenic biodiesel = the food you eat and the air you breath will be less toxic.

2. Help our school-children breath BETTER with biodiesel (higher performance than petroleum diesel + lower cost than petroleum diesel & non-toxic/non-carcinogenic versus petroleum diesel) made ethically and sustainably right here in Louisville.

Thought for the day:
If every household in our community recycled 1 gallon of waste cooking oil from their kitchen every month for a year … then every single school bus in our community and a fair portion of the small family farmers would have 100% non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, high performance, lower cost biodiesel to completely replace their use of petroleum diesel.
For more information please contact Christian Thalacker at Louisville Biodiesel Cooperative – Telephone: (502) 727-5673 and email christian@louisvillebiodieselcoop.org.
