St. Francis School is leading the way in Kentucky school gardens. The entire school community is dedicated to growing this organic garden from the ground up. The school’s chef  prepares the garden’s bounty in the cafeteria. What isn’t grown in the garden, the chef works closely with the administration to source as much local food and produce as possible including hormone and antibiotic free milk. The gardens are also used to deliver and reinforce a wide variety of classroom curriculum, from math to nutrition. The St Francis Parents Association plays a key role in the success of this beautiful garden.
