A full harvest and the golden colors of autumn provide the bounty for this 2 hour interactive class. Mark Williams, Slow Food Southeast Governor and Brown-Forman Chef, will have you learning, tasting, and laughing! Register early – these classes always sell out!

Interested in learning more about the art and science of beekeeping? Thinking about becoming a beekeeper? Autumn and Winter are a great time to learn and plan!
When: Saturday, November 12, 1-3pm
Where: Fresh Start Growers’ Supply, 1007 E. Jefferson Street

Fee: This fun and informative class will be offered for only $10 person. Contact Carrie for special family rates.
What: You will understand the key decisions of a new beekeeper and how to get started in beekeeping including: Hive choices (top bar hives, Langstroth, and Warre — pros and cons of each); How to find bees to start your hive(s); What to plan for as an urban/suburban beekeeper; recommended resources — local, state, national, online, etc.; locations for your hives; plus plenty of time for Q&A.
