First Annual Cocktail Competition

SAVE THE DATE! 📆 On August 27th, Slow Food Bluegrass is hosting our first annual cocktail competition! 🍸Experience the creativity of talented mixologists who will have you drinking for a cause as you support our school garden grants. Come to see as bartenders and mixologists will complete for a grand prize! Food will be provided for all attendees courtesy of Naive.  We are offering discounted tickets prices, $15, for all teachers and service industry workers! Taco Challenge

Join us for the Third Annual Slow Food Taco Challenge on Saturday, June 16th from 12:00pm-4:00pm at Gravely Brewing Co! This sustainable culinary competition will award $1000 in cash prizes in three categories for Best Taco, Best Vegetarian Taco, and Best Dip. All items will feature local ingredients. Admission to the event is free, and tastes will be sold for $3.

Join the Americana Community Center, gardeners from 7 different countries, and Slow Food Bluegrass for a Garden Party.

3-5PM: Help in Americana's Community Garden to help prepare the space for the fall. 
5-6PM: Join us for a communal meal. 

You're welcome to bring a dish or pay a suggested donation of $10. If you'd like to volunteer, but can't stay for dinner, please RSVP via Eventbrite still so we know how many volunteers to expect!

Slow Food Bluegrass is the local chapter of Slow Food USA. Slow Food Bluegrass is dedicated to bringing all members of our community around one table to understand the value of good, clean and fair food.

Community Gathering at Bloom Elementary

Join us as we discover what the students at Bloom Elementary have been growing since they received the school garden grant last year. We'll be helping the kids weed, transplant and mulch followed by a community meal. Bring work gloves, shovels and a dish to share.

Bloom is also looking for a few garden donations including mulch, pea gravel, weed-block, paper yard waste bags and landscaping plants.
