Green B.E.A.N. Delivery Donates 6,872 lbs of carrots and potatoes to Dare to Care

Green B.E.A.N. Delivery donated 2 lbs of fresh produce for each pledge through the NPR fund drive and for the Metro United Way’s fund drive. In total they donated 6,872 pounds of carrots and potatoes to Dare to Care Food Bank on Friday, November 18th, just in time for the holidays! Way to go Green B.E.A.N!

Americorps Position with Presbyterian Hunger Program

The Presbyterian Hunger Program will host 3-4 full-time Anti-Hunger Empowerment Corps AmeriCorps VISTA members for 12 months. They will be based in the national denominational offices in Louisville, Kentucky.

Home Front Harvest – November 19th

Mark your calendar for November 19 from noon-Midnight for the Home Front Harvest at Fresh Start Growers’ Supply. This is a music and food celebration to raise money for local farmers to assist in the production of their crops to help towards a more plentiful harvest for all. Money raised for farmers will be matched in food from the farms and given to a local homeless shelter for Thanksgiving. The goal is to raise money for the farms, to raise awareness of the benefits of eating food from local farms, to help feed the hungry, and to give thanks to all parties involved for helping each other in the name of giving thanks. Hosts: Zach Fry & DJ Minotti. Grasshoppers Distribution Thanksgiving Holiday Market

In celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, Grasshoppers will be having a Thanksgiving Market on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd from 10 am – 6 pm at the main warehouse location located at 1501 Portland Ave., Louisville, KY. Customers will be able to shop for all their holiday grocery needs.

They will have FRESH and Frozen turkey’s, along with their LOCAL Holiday Grocery Basket available. Plus, we will have all sorts of fresh produce, eggs, dairy, beef, pork, chicken, cheese, Bourbon Barrel products, Losta Pasta, Weisenberger Mills products and so much more.
